Our founder and director, Mr Jaison. K. Skariah, is a psychiatric social worker who has dedicated his life to serving humanity with compassion and purpose. What began as a humble effort to provide food, clothing, and care for the needy has blossomed into the thriving Christuraja Prayer Centre we see today. With every step of the journey, Mr.Jaison. K. Skariah unwavering commitment and tireless passion have transformed countless lives. His deep sense of responsibility and love for the residents have made him more than just a leader—he has become a father figure and source of hope for the 65 individuals who call Christuraja their home.
Christuraja Prayer Centre, founded in 1994, is a sanctuary for those seeking to uplift and spread the word of God through prayer and compassionate service. Our mission is to provide support and care for those who have been rejected by society, offering love, shelter, and a path toward a brighter future. Registered under the Charitable Societies Act of 1955, Christuraja Prayer Centre became an official beacon of hope on January 13th, 1999 (Reg. No. ER25/99). Today, we are home to 65 residents, offering them shelter, food, clothing, and medical care. Our doors are always open to the destitute, the wandering souls who have no place to call home, referred to us by local authorities and hospitals.
Our organization operates with the support of a robust governance system. We have 16 general body members, with six new members selected each year during the annual general body meeting held on the third Sunday of July. Our executive committee, including our Director Mr. Jaison K. Skariah, Secretary Mr. C.S. Eliayas Chennamppillil, and Treasurer Raju P.M., meets monthly to ensure smooth operations. Together with the dedicated staff, they guide the organization in its mission.
